Ok - so I survived the great blackout of 2003. Our lights went out, not once, but twice. So I had a few hours of light in there. I swear it's the cyber ghosts. Every single time I even mention that I want to archive something kicks in. Last week alone it was Blaster and now blackout. But the good news is that I tricked the ghosts. Never mentioned a word to anyone and got almost 200 chapters/stories archived into the new archive.

On the funny note, twice last week I had people questioning why no B/J fics on the archive and are we B/M friendly. I fixed one of those. She criticized and now I have her doing hand formatting of those stories that come out crazy. She now has a very "healthy respect" (her words, not mine) for all archivists. Xof also got some stuff up which will be a good mix of stories for when the new format archive goes live.

So I'm back at work. Dealing with missing so much work cause of blackouts but feeling not too bad.

Ok - thanks to the wonderful assistance of Alexis, I am now back up and running. I am again going to attempt to do some uploading to the new version of the archive. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll end up taking more hits like I did last night cause of the lack up uploading on the ATP cause NO ONE will be able to see any fics that I do post. Hint, hint, Caly. Come out, come out wherever you are!!!!!

We should all be happy to know that I "don't" have the worm. I have the symptoms though. I ran the fix 4 times - no worm. I ran the updated virus scan 4 times - no worm. I have deleted all cookies, files, and prefetch. I then log onto the web and virus scan says I have the worm. I run scan immediately - no worm. I am doing that stupid crash within 10 minutes of logging onto the web and I'm terrified of staying on so that I don't pass it on. The only computer I'm safe using right now is the one I am on - the work computer. If I didn't believe in cyber ghosts before - I sure do now.

Ok - I have been running my ass off because over the past five days, all three of my out of town children are here visiting. I need to get back to work just to rest.

On another note, the new archive needs to be tweaked out. But... we can't find our archive web mistress to tell us what needs to be done. Doesn't matter to me anyway cause it won't let me add chapters to existing stories. *vbs* The cyber shosts just don't like me. I'm depressed.

So Caly, if you read this, I have tried to call your house - no answer. Lexie is trying to find you desparately - please check in. You can't have the conversion done and then disappear. You promised you would stay in touch.
